Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the tournament

General Information

What is the tournament format?

The tournament uses a 18-hole team scramble format. Teams of 2-4 players (depending on total participants) all tee off, select the best shot, and all play from that spot. This format is perfect for mixed abilities and ensures everyone can contribute!

How are teams formed?

Teams will include a mix of UK veterans, Ukrainian veterans, and civilian supporters. While we'll do our best to accommodate preferences, we cannot guarantee specific pairings. The goal is to create balanced teams that promote connection between all participants.

What is the dress code?

Standard golf dress code applies: collared shirts or golf-appropriate tops, tailored shorts or trousers, golf shoes (soft spikes preferred). No denim, cargo shorts, or athletic wear. Veterans will receive special Borderlands Foundation golf uniforms.

Where do the proceeds go?

All proceeds support veteran recovery programs, which provides regular golf outings for veterans dealing with PTSD. This creates long-term mental health support through sport and community building for both UK and Ukrainian veterans.
