The Ukraine Freedom Summit Awards Gala
The Summit's black-tie gala brings together the veterans who lived the war and the leaders who stand with them — for a night of recognition, gratitude, and the presentation of the Freedom Award.
The evening
The evening opens with a reception bringing together veterans, world leaders, defence figures, and supporters of Ukraine from across the globe.
A formal dinner honouring the courage of Ukraine's veterans and the allies standing with them — hosted by Sky News' Pete Graves, with a charity auction supporting veteran recovery.
The evening's centrepiece: Ukrainian veterans present the Freedom Award to those whose leadership has made a decisive difference for Ukraine — including former Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
A musical performance and afterparty close the night — a celebration of solidarity, resilience, and the friendships forged across the Summit.
The Freedom Award
There is no higher recognition than the gratitude of those who did the fighting. At the gala, Ukrainian veterans themselves present the Freedom Award — a moment that turns a diplomatic evening into something deeply human, and that the world's cameras carry far beyond the room.

The gala is staged alongside the National Association of Ukrainian Defence Industries and the partners who make the Summit possible — uniting industry, government, and the veterans at the heart of it all.
