Roman Hrybov was born in 1990 in Zolotonosha, Ukraine. After graduating from the Zolotonosha Vocational College in 2008, he worked as a bulldozer operator, but his passion for serving his country led him to pursue a military career. In 2018, Roman joined the Ukrainian Marine Corps, fulfilling his lifelong dream of serving in the military. His dedication and commitment quickly led him to the 35th Separate Marine Brigade, where he became a key member of Ukraine’s defense forces, contributing to the country’s fight for freedom and sovereignty.
Roman’s dedication to his country was cemented during the Russian invasion in 2022, when he was stationed on Snake Island. Faced with a demand from Russian forces to surrender, Roman famously responded with the now-legendary words, “Russian warship, go f*** yourself.” This bold and defiant statement became an iconic symbol of Ukrainian resistance. His courage in the face of overwhelming odds demonstrated not only his personal bravery but also the unyielding strength of the Ukrainian spirit during the darkest days of the conflict.
We aim to raise $50,000 to provide essential support, rehabilitation, and services to Ukrainian veterans. Your donation will go directly to their medical treatment, prosthetics, mental health support, and more. Every contribution helps rebuild their lives.
Help bring 27 Ukrainian veterans from the battlefield to London. They'll play golf with UK football legends, present Boris Johnson with the Freedom Award, and share their stories with world leaders.
