Serhii Hruzenskyi served as a Passport Control Inspector in the Border Guard Service of Ukraine, a role that placed him in some of the most perilous combat zones. His exceptional courage led him to serve as a shooter and grenade launcher operator in regions such as Sumy, Zhytomyr, Kyiv (Chornobyl), and in the eastern frontlines of Bakhmut and Kreminna. Throughout these dangerous missions, Serhii played a critical role in holding back enemy forces, providing vital reconnaissance, and safeguarding Ukraine’s borders with unwavering dedication and determination.
In July 2023, Serhii sustained life-threatening injuries during a missile attack, an experience that left him physically wounded and emotionally scarred. This traumatic event marked the start of his challenging rehabilitation journey, where each day has been filled with both physical pain and psychological struggles. The attack not only affected his body but also his mental well-being, making the recovery process even more difficult. Despite the hardships, Serhii’s unwavering determination and strength continue to drive him forward, as he navigates the difficult road to healing and recovery.
