Before the war, Oleksandr led local development in Lviv as director of the municipal City Institute, and in 2020 was elected a deputy of the Lviv Regional Council — focused on improving the region's infrastructure and economy.
When the war broke out, he immediately volunteered, joining the 125th Territorial Defence Brigade. As a sergeant in the battalion's logistics service he played a crucial role supporting troops through the intense fighting in the Kharkiv region in 2022.
After demobilising in 2023, Oleksandr returned to civilian life with a new mission. As head of the Unbroken Charitable Foundation, he provides aid, rehabilitation, and emotional support to military personnel and veterans — ensuring Ukraine's defenders receive the care they deserve.
