Roman was born and raised in Kharkiv, where he first worked as a bartender. When the full-scale invasion began in 2022, he felt a deep calling to serve. He tried to enlist from the very first days of the war and, after months of delays, finally succeeded — joining the 93rd Mechanized Brigade ‘Kholodnyi Yar’ as an anti-tank operator, determined to defend Ukraine.
Roman was deployed to the front lines near Bakhmut, one of the most intense combat zones of the war, carrying out critical operations and supporting his comrades. In July 2024 he was severely wounded during a mission — injuries that led to the amputation of a limb. His dedication to Ukraine's cause never wavered.
First stabilised in Dnipro, then transferred to Lviv for rehabilitation and a prosthetic, Roman found an outlet in art therapy — painting his dream of racing in Formula 1. Alongside his passion for motorsport, he aspires to open his own business. He has returned home determined to pursue both his dreams and a future full of possibilities.
