A graduate of the National Defence University of Ukraine, Volodymyr began his service in law enforcement in 2017. When the full-scale invasion began, he immediately joined the fight, leaving his civilian career behind.
Volodymyr played a pivotal role in defending Kyiv and liberating the region in the early stages of the war, then took part in the ‘Great Kharkiv Operation’ and continued his mission in the Donetsk region — helping drive Russian forces back and protect Ukrainian citizens.
On 27 April 2024, during a combat mission, Volodymyr was severely injured by enemy artillery, resulting in the amputation of part of his left arm. His resolve remained unbroken. Today he trains in golf as an adaptive athlete and co-founded the ‘Strong Side’ Adaptive Sports Association — proving that resilience can open new doors.
