Panellists described Ukraine's rapid three-to-four-month innovation-to-frontline procurement cycle, the Brave1 platform, decentralised brigade-level R&D, and the Delta battlefield-management system born from civil society in 2014. They stressed private and crowdfunded financing of frontline innovation, the transparency of the modern battlefield, and the interoperability gap with Western militaries. The core ask shifted from donations toward new joint financial instruments — an international procurement agency and a European defence-industry union.

This is not the war of our defence forces. This is the war of our society. This is the war of our country.
In the UK, it can take up to three years to license a product and can cost 300,000 pounds... In Ukraine, you can do the same thing for about 15,000 US dollars and take one month.
Through this principle of digitalizing everything, Ukraine gained — with the blood, with our own lives — one of the other gold mines, which is sometimes hidden: the data.
