Day 3 · Veterans Leadership Forum · Panel
On stage

The panel focused on physical rehabilitation and prosthetics for combat casualties, insisting body and mind must be treated together. Kobzarev traced Unbroken's growth from an ad-hoc response in 2022 into a large Lviv-based ecosystem covering treatment, rehabilitation, prosthetics and reintegration, having helped over 24,000 wounded, and stressed speed, transparency and investing in people. Norton shared UK lessons from Supporting Wounded Veterans on chronic-pain management, painkiller addiction, sports rehabilitation and the mistake of closing specialist centres. Discussion covered pain management, sport as therapy, and keeping centres open long-term.
The substance
In their words
It's a big mistake to separate mental health and physical health, so we work with these together.
Invest in people, because walls and equipment don't work without doctors.
For goodness' sake, don't shut the centers afterwards.
The 3rd Ukraine Freedom Summit comes to Dallas, 16–19 March 2027. Same mission, bigger stage.
